Council approves resurfacing of tennis courts at Donaldson Park

Tennis players are going to ‘love’ the news that Enterprise City Council Tuesday approved the resurfacing of six courts at Donaldson Park.

Billy Powell, Director of Community Services and Recreation, told Council the courts were last resurfaced in September 2019, and must be resurfaced every five years as part of the warranty.

The work will be completed by American Tennis Courts, Inc., and will cost $56,810. This resurfacing project was a budgeted item. Work is expected to start later this summer and should take approximately one week.

Enterprise City Council in November 2019 approved to name the tennis courts in honor of local tennis instructor William “Bill” Morris.  A ribbon cutting and renaming ceremony was held in May 2023.
